Premier’s First Die Cast Operator Course with NADCA

It is November 20, 2010 and Premier has just completed the first Die Cast Operator Course designed and taught by the North American Die Casting Association (NADCA).

We had 25 operators in the course for two days which included classroom training and on-the-job instruction on actual die cast machines. The students listened to Dan Meyer from NADCA for an hour at a time, then went on to the shop floor to see the actual topics taught in the class. The class to shop training was invaluable and proved an effective method of teaching the new students how to operate a die cast machine safely and efficiently. The course also included important topics such as process controls, productivity improvements, defect identification, and metal handling.
